Demeter (The Library of Fragrance in Europe) was born in 1996 in New York’s East Village as unique point of view on the world of fragrance. It’s still like that today, although the concept is always expanding.

The original mission was to capture nature’s fragrances into a wearable form. Hence the name Demeter, in honour of the Greek goddes of agriculture.

The first three fragrances stemming from this vision were Grass, Tomato and Dirt and were sold in New York.

Today with fragrances like Baby Powder, Pure Soap. Gin & Tonic, Vanilla Ice Cream and Pizza, we have extended our olfactory reach and our presence in the world.

You can find The Library of Fragrances in China, Russia, United Kingdom and the European Union.
